Here it goes again! Along with the Advent Calendar at LLB and the Easter Special at Aspidetr, it is THE annual highlight for all level designers and gamers: The Back to Basics Contest. At the beginning of the month, EssGee, who looks after the organisational matters of the contest, revealed this year’s theme: Greece.

Shalebridge Murder Mystery by Richard Lawther
Known for the Underworld Unfinished Business-Series and many more top levels, Richard Lawther returns after more than 5 years. In Cluedo-Manier Lara will be searching a mansion and investigating a murder case. The project is supposed to enter the testing phase in a couple of months.

We are presented with a new project by teme9, too. There is not much information out on Lionheart yet. However, the first pictures disperse a dark ambience in natural scenery. Interested level builders can also marvel at some behind-the-scenes material at TRF.
Crystal Dynamics has released the first in-game screenshots of the upcoming adventure: Rise of the Tomb Raider.
According to Gameinformer, our heroine will shiver with cold in the Russian wilderness this time.
And there will be danger – demanding hunting, crafting of survival gear and tomb robbing. Also, secrets will be disclosed. To top it off, there will be a new mysterious organisation, attempting to give Lara a hard time of it.
In an interview with Noah Hughes, Creative Director of RotTR some information has been brought up.
As has been seen in the reboot before, Lara will have to craft her own weapons and equipment from stuff collected in the environment. Survival elements are supposed to get even more sophisticated and become more realistic. For instance, some upgrades for weapons will only be available through the combat of rare species, the presence of which will be restricted to certain daytimes or weather situations.

On the 15th of every month, we will here present you the most stunning and most exciting screenshots of the preceding four weeks from all over the entire custom level community.
Do you want to keep an eye on what’s being built at the moment, or gather inspiration for your own custom level? Then this is the place to be! Always keep in mind, though, that the shown levels will still be work in progress.
Whether or not they will ever make it to a release remains uncertain. However, we would not want you to miss out on them anyway.
Titak surprises us with new pictures from the sequel to of Mists of Avalon. She has stated that it will take at least another two years until its release. Well, as you know, pleasant anticipation can be quite a joyful experience.
